Writing Groups

Enter a sacred space to nurture your creative voice, deepen in spiritual growth, and enjoy the power of collective feminine story. Each group is intentionally limited to 6 women, allowing intimate sharing and witnessing, meaningful connection, and poetic sisterhood.

There are countless thresholds in every woman’s creative journey when the voice within asks to expand into new territory; soft at first, then steady, then unstoppable. Saga Writing Circles are created to support this evolution with tenderness and strength. They are incubators where words become prayers, stories become medicine, and your voice is welcomed home to this new terrain.

Autumn Writing Groups are OPEN

Winter 2026 Writing Groups will open in February

Mother Tongue

Explore new edges and octaves of your writing voice as you evolve through the many seasons of Motherhood. Root into fresh expressions of maternal power and poetic love.

  • Becoming Mother changes everything. And while being Mother, everything changes.

At the Altar of Motherhood, we are asked to dissolve and be reborn over and over again - welcome dissolutions for some, and deeply challenging losses for others. For most Mothers, it is both.

Along with this surrender of identity is the surrender of the maiden voice:

She who thought she had met her edges, has now roared through threshold after threshold at the birthing altar to bring forth pure  life. Where will her voice now dare to go?

She who was once only responsible for herself is now the Mama Bear frequency keeper, love storyteller, care provider, protector, and space holder for little ones. What holy ground will her voice now cover?

Through the Seasons of Motherhood, love forms in new flavors. Boundaries have new importance. Life has new meaning.

The Mother Tongue wants in, during each season of evolution and growth…

But each crossing over takes time. Release. Focus. Raw honesty. Tenderness.

Join Poet, Noël Ruth, for four gentle and powerful weeks as we each explore how and where our unique Mother Tongues of this season of mothering are ready to take root in our writing, our speech, and our lives.

THIS WRITING GROUP IS FOR WOMEN WHO:

    • are Mothers

    • Sense a creative expansion in their voice wanting to take place

    • Don’t resonate entirely with their former writing (so much has changed) but are unsure how to evolve

    • Want to integrate newfound Mother power, love, and values into their writing and life

    • Desire deep sisterhood and sharing space with creative focus

For four weeks, receive weekly invitations and encouragement in your inbox, writing prompts to inspire your flow, and one live 90 Minute gathering per week for writing and sharing together with 7 other women.

  • “Mother Tongue amplified my voice in a way I have been praying for…for years. As I restart my writing journey this was exactly what I needed to get my footing. I am in awe. Noel is one of the most talented and powerful women I have ever witnessed.” - ANNA MARIA

“Mother Tongue was one of the most deep, intimate and vulnerable spaces I have been led through with group work. It revitalized me and I feel more connected to my own voice and creativity.” - ERICKA

“I am so smitten with Mother Tongue. It’s difficult to find a container and a community that understands the constraints of motherhood, that work with rather than against those constraints, to keep us in the flow of existing as artist/poet.” - KAT

“A sweet anchor in the river of life that is mothering. This month brought so much nectar for this hungry Mother Tongue.” - NIKKI

Valley Prayers

Honor your feminine descent and the wisdom of grief through prayer and chant crafting. Illuminate your path with the poetry born of the fertile darkness.

  • Valley Prayers is a writing circle for women moving through, or remembering, a season of descent, loss, or deep transformation.

A soft voice travels over the dark belly of the valley; singing in your ears —

    is there anything sweeter

than a woman who walks through darkness

with a song of love upon her lips?

Descent is holy and essential. Peace can be found in night terrain when we bring artistry to the releasing, grieving, and finding our way through the dark.

Through myth, guided writing ritual, and gentle somatic support, we will practice expanding our capacity to stay present within discomfort and write prayers that protect our feet and tune our hearts to the Beloved.

This circle is for women who…

    • are moving - crawling, slithering, prowling - through a season of loss, change, or unraveling

    • are called to honor a past descent or time of deep transformation that remains in your field, asking for more touch

    • sense a skin is shedding, a new fang is breaking flesh, or a new pelt being grown

    • are open to your story evolving into new terrain and perspective

    • are equipped to hold yourself in sovereignty in a group call where challenging themes may be present

    • stoke a love (or at least curiosity) for myth, poetry, and writing as pathways of healing and revelation

    • want to write the raw experience rather than jump to the cognitive answers of comfort

    • desire a sacred, creative space to be witnessed and to witness others in tenderness

    GROUP ONE DATES:

    Fridays - November 14, 21, 28 & December 5

    6:30-8PM ET

    GROUP TWO DATES:

    Mondays - November 17, 24 & December 1, 8

    3:30-5PM ET

    Cost

$297 - pay in full of split in two payments

    Disclaimer

This is not a space for verbal trauma-processing or therapeutic intervention. While healing may naturally arise through this work, this is nota therapy group.

There is a difference between using a circle to vent and using a circle to share from sovereignty. This space invites the latter — grounded self-expression, creative reflection, and mythic exploration within a supportive community.

If you are currently moving through (or remembering) an experience that feels too overwhelming to hold within a group and requires consistent one-on-one support, this offering may not be the right fit.
You are warmly invited to reach out to Noël for information about her 1:1 Grief Offerings at hello@sagawriters.com.

  • Note: This is our first round of Valley Prayers Writing Circle. So while we do not have any specific testimonials for this offering, below are a few words about other SAGA experiences.

To anyone who has held life and death in their wombs and in their hands, I pray you find your way to Noël and receive the medicine of her holy offerings.” - MADELINE

To sit with Noël in this container, in grief, in love, in honor of the spirit of Mother...there is nothing quite like it.  I am beyond grateful for the medicine she has brought into my life. Her understanding and compassion, her way with words and connecting to Spirit has brought me so much healing and joy.” - KELLY

I was in another writing group before and just wasn’t feeling it. Something was missing - sacredness. And that is what Saga brings forth so beautifully and strongly.” - ANNE
